Our residents love gallery outings!
We took our first gallery trip in two years due to covid. Our carers arranged a Monday morning time slot when the gallery was least busy, and enjoyed a fantastic exhibition about Bob Marley, curated by the musician’s daughter.
Parts of the exhibition were set up as a music venue – the Jamaican countryside and a football pitch – reflecting some of the things very much associated with Bob. We saw trainers he had used in the 1970s and never before seen photos, along with newer artworks celebrating his music.
The weather was gorgeous, so after our visit we sat outside the gallery and enjoyed our lunch in the welcome sunshine.
It was great to get residents out again and to do something they really wanted to do.
